Korean Spicy BBQ Grilled Clams

This dish might look difficult, but it takes only 15 minutes to make (after you have cleaned your clams, of course)!
INGREDIENTS:

STEPS:

  1. Wash clams by scrubbing the outside shells and purge clams of any sand by soaking in a mixture of cold water and salt in a large bowl for about 20 minutes to 1 hour. Here's a useful link on how to purge your clams of sand.
  2. Fire up your outdoor grill or preheat your broiler to 450 degrees or on high.
  3. Place clams on directly on grill or in the broiler on a pan with rack.
  4. Once the clams start to open up, remove them from the heat and take off the side of the shell without the meat.
  5. Mix the garlic with the Southern Art Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce and drizzle the sauce mixture onto the meat of the clams.
  6. Return the clams back to the grill or broiler and cook for about 5 minutes or until it starts to bubble.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with rice or grilled sourdough bread.
